Codfish with Cream

Here's an easy recipe for a delicious codfish with cream.

Ingredients:

  • 500 gr cod soaked and shredded
  • 1 lt milk
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 2 teaspoon of wheat flour
  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 2 dl cream
  • breadcrumbs
  • olive oil
  • nutmeg
  • salt

Preparation:

  1. Cook the slices of cod in milk.
  2. Braise the onion in olive oil until golden.
  3. Drain the cod and reserve the milk. If not shredded, do it now.
  4. Add the cod to the onions and let it cook slowly.
  5. Join the milk and flour used previously. Stir until thicken.
  6. Cut potatoes into cubes and fry in oil in order to make them more fried than cooked.
  7. Drain the potatoes and add the cod. Season with salt and nutmeg.
  8. Pour everything into a greased baking tray, spread over the cream and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
  9. Bake until gratin.
